David Henig

David Henig [*1982] is an anthropologist from the Czech Republic where he obtained a BA and MA degrees in anthropology. On April 2007 he was awarded by the Wenner-Gren Foundation to start PhD training in sociocultural anthropology under Steve Lyon's supervision at Durham University, England. David's primary geographic area of research is postsocialist Dagestan, Caucasus [Russia]. During his previous career, he has also conducted research in Egypt with religious migrants from Caucasus and in the Czech Republic where he has analysed and simulated transnational networks of czech muslims.
