Sonia Vougioukalou is a Phd candidate in the Department of Anthropology in the University of Kent researching the transmission and transformation of ethnobotanical knowledge in the Cook Islands. She is interested in the link between ethnobotany, medical anthropology and biodiversity conservation and the incorporation of interdisciplinary methodologies for assessing socio-environmental change.
